As our audience grew, Dilbert the Duck went from just books on national parks for kids to sharing our adventures and what we’ve learned!
Photographer & Illustrator
Ashley and Justin not only author a number of posts on Dilbert the Duck, they also do the photography and illustrations in every book. They met in 2007 at college and married that December. They now have 3 amazing daughters (who’s names are not used to protect their privacy).
Ashley is the eye behind every stunning photo you see in the Dilbert books (as well as countless others on our website). An award-winning photographer, she captures everything from towering cliffs in Zion to the funnest moments at camp.
She’s also the owner of Marketing HMC with her husband, Justin, and mother to three incredible kids.

Justin is the artistic force behind Dilbert’s signature look. After a dozen silly duck sketches (some too bizarre to mention), he captured Dilbert’s final form—fluffy, curious, and ready to take on the national parks.
He draws every Dilbert image by hand on his Huion drawing tablet, making every page as memorable as possible.
Author & Shipping Master
Debbie is the original voice behind Dilbert the Duck. As a young educator, mom and children’s author, she wanted a way to help kids experience national parks and before they even hit the trail.
Her husband, Scott, is her steady traveling love of her life and ensures books make it to their destination, whether it’s in the national parks or to our customers.
